Green Line West Route - Railroad Bridge Open, Regular Service Restored
The Norfolk Southern Oakland and Indiana Avenues Railroad Bridge has re-opened. This has restored regular service on the Interurban Trolley Green Line West route, with a new schedule effective immediately. The Green Line was operating with a temporary schedule since September 2018 because of the bridge closure.
The Green Line Southwest loop has resumed normal operations along Marion Street between 3rd Street and Indiana Avenue, with buses now turning left and continuing under the reopened bridge. Buses on the Northwest Loop are operating from the downtown Transfer Center straight along Franklin Street before turning right onto Indiana Avenue.
Green Line service on the Southwest Loop to Lincoln Center serving the Elkhart County Health Department has been restored, with service now at 4 minutes past the hour. Northwest Loop buses will no longer service this stop; other stops along the Northwest Loop will see bus service approximately 2 minutes earlier than during the temporary construction schedule.
For full details of the service change see the new Green Line West schedule.
